The Life of Mark Jason Champagne
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Mark Jason Champagne, 38, who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, March 16, 2008 in Lafayette.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Giftbearers will be Skyler Comeaux and Kaitlin Constantine. Valerie Andrus, organist and soloist, will sing "I Can Only Imagine", "Just A Closer Walk With Thee"(French), "Wind Beneath My Wings" and "Amazing Grace" for the services. Survivors include his parents Howard and Barbara Richoux Champagne; three sisters, Donna Hebert and her companion Ralph Domingue of Scott, Maureen Constantine and her husband Russell of Youngsville and Kristy Comeaux-Champagne of Lafayette; one nephew, Davey Hebert; seven nieces, Lynette Benoit, Jade Constantine, Skyler Comeaux, Chelsea Constantine, Kaitlin Constantine, Madison Constantine and Kennedi Comeaux; one great nephew, Kynan Hebert; one great niece, Lexi Benoit; his best friend, Blake Morvant along with many other close friends.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Lena Richoux, Daneval and Marie Champagne and Mr. & Mrs. Sydney Simon.A native and resident of Lafayette, Mark Champagne was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, owner of American Home Inspection and Acadiana Outboard & Boat Repair. He loved scuba diving, spear fishing and the Poker Run Motorcycle Rallies. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with his friends. Mark was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.Pallbearers will be Joey Bellard, Ryan Hernandez, Scott Benoit, Troy Bonin, Jason Bourque and Blake Morvant. Honorary Pallbearers will be Russell Constantine, Ralph Domingue, Davey Hebert and Lennon Blanchard. A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
