The Life of Maurice Gerald McGovern
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 21, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Maurice Gerald McGovern, 79, who passed away on April 19, 2011 at Grace Home Hospice.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. McGovern, a resident of Pineville, LA, was the son of the late John William McGovern and the former Antoinette Munster both of New Orleans, Louisiana.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Geraldine McGovern and two nephews, Bill McGovern and wife Karen and Jay McGovern and wife Debbie; one niece, Colleen McGovern and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Warren McGovern and John McGovern and nephew, Kerry McGovern.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 10:00 am until the time of services in Lafayette.
