The Life of Gilda Patsy Ross
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 18, 2007 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Gilda Patsy Ross, 59, who passed away Thursday, October 11, 2007 in Houston, TX.
Interment will take place in Holy Mary, Mother of God Cemetery in Lafayette.
Reverend Tommy Faulk, Pastor of First Assembly of God in Lafayette will conduct the services.
Mrs. Ross, the daughter of the late Lal Mohammed and the former Sylvia Rampersad, was a native of Trinidad & Tobago and a longtime resident of Lafayette, La, who recently moved to Angleton, TX
Survivors include her sons, Johann Sammy of Massachusetts, and Edward D. Ross, of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Ashley Layne Sammy, Tiffany Gilda-Marie Sammy, Jonathan Phillip Sammy of Weymouth, MA, and Isabella Bethany Ross of Montgomery, AL; sisters, Patricia Mahrajh, Gemma Debysingh, Lydia Alvarado, Nell Delabastine, and Carrol Dillon; one brother, Rawlins Mohammed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin George Ross, son, Phillip Ross, and parents, Lal Mohammed and Sylvia Rampersad Mohammed.
Visiting hours will be observed on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until the time of services.
Pallbearers will be Johann Sammy, Edward Ross, Gary Leleux, Glen Leleux, Alfred Alvarado, and Clive Dillon.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette is in charge of funeral arrangements.
