The Life of Laura Worley

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Leland Worley the former Laura Hebert, 80, will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, October 5, 2007 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Jody Simoneaux officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, October 4, 2007 beginning at 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, October 5, 2007 form 8:00AM until the time of services. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Worley a native and resident of Youngsville died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 2:20PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. She was known for her enjoyment of sewing, cooking, and visiting the homebound and elderly. She worked at Southern Bell as an operator for several years, and served as Sacristan at St. Anne Catholic Church for over 9 years. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Luis Meza and staff, Dr. Fadi Malek and staff, Our Lady of Lourdes 5th floor, and Infusion staff, Hospice of Acadiana, and the many friends who donated blood. She is survived by a brother, Charles J. Hebert of Youngsville; two sisters, Elise Langlinais of Youngsville, and Della and her husband Sam Kennedy of Youngsville; two sister in laws, Rose Hebert of Youngsville, and Nina Worley of Buckhead, GA; and Several nieces and Nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, LeLand C. Worley; her parents, Gladu and Estellia Maturin Hebert, a brother, Wilson Hebert; and a sister, Yolande Hulin. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Reynolds, Daniel Viator, Sam Kennedy, Jr., Aaron Kennedy, Chris Theriot, and Ray Hebert. The family has requested donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana in Mrs. Worley''s name. David Funeral Home of Lafayette will be handling the arrangements
