The Life of Roylene Faye Roy
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Roylene Faye Hebert Roy, 67, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Gilbert J. Dutel, Pastor, St. Edmonds Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lector for the service will be Mrs. Roy''s granddaughter, Hannah Roy. Survivors include two sons, Stephen Roy and his wife, Tricia of Lafayette, LA, and Scott Roy and his wife, Valerie of Lafayette, LA; one sister, Jo Ann Gray of Baton Rouge, LA; two brothers, Ronald Naquin of Baton Rouge, LA and Earl Naquin, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; four grandchildren, Hannah, Bethany, and Emily Roy and Patrick Donellan.She was preceded in death by her her father, Elroy Hebert; her mother and step-father, Nellie and Earl Naquin; and her brother, Glen Charles Hebert.A native of Franklin, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for over 50 years, Mrs. Roy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She worked as an office manager for local attorney, Charles Wooten, Sr. for 40 years before her retirement. Roylene enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be most remembered for her joy of entertaining guests with her home-style cooking and baking of a variety of sweets, her love for flowers and gardening and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pallbearers will be Stephen Roy, Scott Roy, Hannah Roy, Nolten Haynes, John Scott III and David Morgan. A Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location.The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
