The Life of Joseph B Fontenot
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Joseph "J.B." Rovitch Fontenot, 80, who passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Reverend Allen Breaux will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Earlene Savoy Fontenot of Lafayette; one daughter, Jody Corsale and her husband Roy of Boca Raton, Florida; and three cats, Ci Ci, Smokey and Sambo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Emethilde Faul Fontenot.
A native of Church Point and a resident of Lafayette since 1950, J.B. Fontenot proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He loved playing golf, working in the garden and socializing with family and friends. He had a great love for animals and a wonderful memory for trivia. J.B. will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Lafayette location on Wednesday 9:00 AM until time of service.
