The Life of Paul Thomas Domingue Sr.
Funeral services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 16, 2008 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Paul Thomas Domingue, Sr., 79, who passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Reverend Gilbert Dutel, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Giftbearers will be Courtney LeBlanc and Amber Domingue. Lectors will be Lisa Domingue and Carmen Domingue.
Interment will take place in Holy Mary, Mother of God Cemetery.
Mr. Domingue, a resident of Duson, was the son of the late Elias Domingue of Lafayette and the former Georgiana Broussard of Abbeville. Mr. Domingue retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 39 years of service.
He is survived by three daughters, Lynne LeBlanc and her husband, David of Lafayette, Penny Domingue of Jeanerette, and Nicki Domingue of Duson; three sons, Paul T. Domingue, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Lafayette, Michael Tod Domingue and his wife, Carmen of Duson, and Stephen Paul Domingue of Duson; seven grandchildren, Courtney Michelle LeBlanc, Andr'' Michael LeBlanc, Nicholas Paul Domingue, Ethan Paul Domingue, Michael Tod Domingue II and his fiance Amy Cunningham, Dustin Kyle Domingue and his fiance Charly Norman, Amber Nicole Domingue; and one great grandson, Brayden Michael Domingue.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Verna Mae Boudreaux; and two brothers, Travis Domingue and Forrest Domingue.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Friday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until service time.
A rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Paul T. Domingue, Jr., Michael Tod Domingue, Stephen Paul Domingue, Andre LeBlanc, Tod Domingue, Dustin Domingue and Nicholas Domingue. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Paul Domingue and Brayden Michael Domingue.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
