The Life of James Daniel Tucker
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2007 at a 10:00 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for James Daniel Tucker, age 83, who passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 1:18 PM in the Southwest Louisiana War Veteran Home in Jennings, Louisiana.Mr. Tucker leaves to mourn his wonderful and loving wife of 59 years, Beverly Guidry Tucker; their children, Marlene T. Foreman and her husband, Bradley, Claire T. Tramonte and her husband, Jason; Nita T. Eglip; J. Scott Tucker and his wife, Mary Nelson and James David Tucker; his grandchildren, Jamie T. Kocher, Marcie T. Green, Rachel Tramonte, Elizabeth Tramonte, Chavo Eglip, Holly Cormier, Bradley J. Foreman III and Heather Courville; six great grandchildren and one brother, Odie K. Tucker and his wife, Amelia. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Odie Tucker and the former Hazel Francis Kirst.A native of New Orleans, Mr. Tucker was born on August 19, 1923 and was a resident of Carencro, Louisiana. He was a veteran of Military Service, having served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Tucker was an educator. He was a Professor of Science at Church Point High School and also St. Edmond Catholic High School in Eunice.A Rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.The family requests that visiting hours be observed Friday, July 13, 2007 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Saturday, July 14, 2007 from 8:00 AM until time of the Funeral Service.Interment will follow in the Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Michael MaGee, trumpeter, will perform several selections at the graveside service.Reverend Bill Melancon, Pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro will conduct the Funeral Services. Musical Selections for the Funeral Service will be performed by soloist, Steven Steimetz.Pallbearers will be Bradley J. Foreman Jr., Bradley J.
