The Life of Winnie D Duhon

Funeral services will be held at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 4, 2007 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Marie Winnie Duhon, 87, who passed away Monday, April 30, 2007 at Lafayette Care Center. Rev. Keith Derouen, Pastor of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lafayette will be Celebrant of the Mass and conduct the funeral services. Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette. Mrs. Duhon, the daughter of the late Oscar Pascal Domingue and the former Emelile Martin was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, La. She was a member of The Canary Islanders Heritage Society of La and an artist who specialized in oil portraits. Survivors include one son, Douglas Duhon and wife, Anaxis of Baton Rouge, La; one grandchild, Staci Nicole Duhon of Baton Rouge, La. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Pascal and Emelile Martin Domingue; six sisters, Sadie Breaux, Irma Domingue, Joyce Langlinais, Rose Girouard, Julie Domingue and Grace Domingue; five brothers, Ray, Roy, Clyde, Jules and Chester Domingue. Visiting hours will be observed Thursday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and will continue Friday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Staci Duhon, John West, William Babin, Barry Semar, Thomas Duhon, and Marc Duhon. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Duhon and Bill Breaux.
