The Life of Wallace Anthony Trahan

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Wallace Anthony Trahan, Sr., 74, who passed away at the Senior Care Center in Arnaudville. Interment will take place at Holy Mary, Mother of God Cemetery in Lafayette. Deacon Art Bakeler will officiate at the funeral services. Mr. Trahan, the son of the late Ontione Trahan and the former Lelia Delouahaysse, was a native of Indian Bayou, La and a resident of Scott, La. He was retired after 17 years with the Lafayette Parish Government. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Virgie Smith Trahan; five daughters, Linda Bourque, Nordia Veronie, Corrine Delcambre, Glinda Trahan and Judy Trahan; three sons, Ontoine Trahan, Wallace A. Trahan, Jr. and James Wayne Trahan; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Eva Marie Trahan; one son, Lyndon Trahan; one great-granddaughter and one sister, Corrine Turner. Visiting hours will be observed on Tuesday from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 am until the time of the service. A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday at 6:30 pm in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Wallace Anthon Trahan, Jr., Charles Anthony Aucoin, Phillip Veronie, Jr., Aaron Bourque, Kaleb Trahan and Phillip Veronie, Sr. Honorary pallbearer will be James Trahan. Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette is in charge of funeral arrangements.
