The Life of Jessie Bee McCann
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, May 12, 2007 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Jessie Bee McCann, 81, who passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Michael Green, preacher for South College Road Church of Christ will conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. McCann, a native of Port Arthur, Texas and resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Ferman Toups and the former Faye Perkins. Jessie was a pillar member of the South College Road Church of Christ, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and became a mother figure to many. She retired from Sears after 37 years of service. She was a past Girl Scout Leader.
Survivors include one daughter, Sabra Bozeman of Dallas, Texas; one son, Jeff McCann of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Kevin Bozeman and Brian Bozeman; one great grandchild, Taylor Hiser; and one brother, Charley Toups of Bridge City, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene McCann; one son, Gene ''Stoney'' McCann; and one sister, Fern Paetow.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Friday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and continue Saturday from 8:00 am until time of service.
