The Life of Herman Allen Stuart Sr.

Herman Allen Stuart, Sr., died at 10:45 am. Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Houston, TX. Herman died at age 64 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. He was a native a Pineville, LA, and he lived on Lake St. John in north Louisiana. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a graduate of Pineville High School and Louisiana State University. Post-collegiate studies, he spent most of his career in the oil and gas industry, both locally and internationally. As president/CEO of Quad Int''l, he developed international divisions in the oil and gas exploration field within Guatemala, Nigeria, and Belize. An avid sportsman, he was passionate about big game safaris, game fishing, traveling, and spending time with his friends.

Visiting will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home, Lafayette, LA, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, January 26, 2007, and from 1:00 pm until time of service on Saturday, January 27, 2007. A service will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2007. Pallbearers will be Bart White, Brett White, Al Vinet, Jeffrey Schwartz, Gregory Williams, and William Coleman.

He is survived by his wife, June Stuart, Lake St. John. Their children include: H. Allen Stuart, Jr., Lafayette; Alice Ann Schwartz, Baton Rouge; Martha Stuart Williams, Baton Rouge; Sonya Vinet, Baton Rouge; Bart White, Lafayette; Brett White, Baton Rouge; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by a sister, Olive Ann Stierman, Shreveport.

Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
