The Life of Joyce L Muffoletto

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Thomas G. Muffoletto, Sr. the former Joyce Landry, 78, will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, October 31, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Rev. Angelo Cremaldi officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, October 31, 2011 from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. A native of Weeks Island and a resident of Lafayette for over 55 years, Mrs. Muffoletto died at 7:05AM on Friday, October 28, 2011 after a brief illness. She and her husband were charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and also charter members of Acadian Home Builders. She enjoyed working, cooking, cleaning, and caring for her family. She is survived by a son, Thomas G. Muffoletto, Jr. of Coppell, TX; three daughters, Arleen Muffoletto Harbin and her husband Charles T. Harbin, III of Sugar Land, TX, Gwen Muffoletto Turner and her husband Carroll Turner of Milton, and Tammy Muffoletto Viator and her husband Jimmy Viator of New Iberia; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn Jenee’ Viator, Janzen Blair Viator, Nikki Lynne Turner, Brandi Renee’ Green Leleux, Garren Michael Green, Charles T. Harbin, IV, and Madeleine Harbin; and three great grandchildren, Gabrielle Elise Caurso, Isabella Grace Caurso, and Sophia Elise LeLeux. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. Muffoletto, Sr.; her parents, Robert "Tee Ro Bear" A. Landry and Madeline L. Landry; a brother, James J. Landry; and a step brother, Louis Landry. Serving as pallbearers will be members of Mrs. Muffoletto’s friends and family. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations made to St. Pius X Catholic Church for Masses. David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337) 837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
