The Life of John Clifford Duhon

Funeral services will be conducted for John Clifford “Peck” Duhon, 75, on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at 3:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Louis Richard, Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard officiating. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at David Funeral Home at 316 Youngsville Highway in Lafayette beginning at 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM and reopen on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed at the funeral home on Saturday at 6:30 PM. A native of Cow Island, LA and a resident of Lafayette, LA, Mr. Duhon died on Friday, July 21, 2006 at 8:05 PM at South Park Hospital in Lafayette, LA. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, LA and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Marie Manceaux Duhon of Lafayette, LA; his daughter, Glynn Dora Duhon Gallet of Lafayette, LA; his grandson, Shane Gallet of Lafayette, LA; and his brother, Clement Duhon and his wife Lily of Kaplan, LA. He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Duhon; his mother, Eugenie Hargrove Duhon and his brother, Thomas “Melon” Duhon. Pallbearers will be Shane Gallet, Jiles Gary, Eric Luquette, Kevin Manceaux, Alex Faul and Dwayne Manceaux. David Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of arrangements.
