The Life of Rhoda Terrisee Mauldin

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 26, 2007 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Terrisee ''Tess'' Mauldin, 88, who passed away Monday, May 21, 2007 at Maison de Lafayette.

Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette.

Mrs. Mauldin, the daughter of the late Will Merritt and the former Mamie Rhodes, was a native of Snyder, Texas and a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. She graduated from Hendrix Memorial School of Nursing. She was married in 1940 to Floyd Mauldin. Mrs. Mauldin was very active at Emmanuel Baptist Church and Community Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school for High School girls and women. She belonged to Women''s Missionary Union and Eastern Star. She was an Industrial Nurse at Mayfair Industries. She was a volunteer at Crippled Children''s Clinic and was a retired public health nurse.

Survivors include one son, Thomas Mauldin and wife, Sharon of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Lee Lowe, Laurie Langlois, Monty Lowe, Merritt Lowe, Jennifer Mauldin, Charles Mauldin and Joshua Mauldin; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Lollar of San Antonio, Texas, Jimmy Cummings and Mary Lou Farris, both of Snyder, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Mauldin; daughter, Virginia Lowe, and brother, Hugh Merritt.

Visiting hours will be observed Friday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will continue Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made in the name of Terrisee ''Tess'' Mauldin to Evangeline Baptist Association, P.O. Box 81244, Lafayette, Louisiana 70598-1244.

Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette is in charge of funeral services.
