The Life of Thomas Guidry
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Thomas Guidry, 86, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Louis Richard officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, February 29, 2008 starting at 3:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM Visitation will resume on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 8:00AM until the time of services. Interment will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. A native of Broussard and resident of Lafayette, Mr. Guidry passed away at 3:35AM, on February 28, 2008 at Southwest Medical Center. Mr. Guidry is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Bernice Talbot Guidry of Lafayette; two daughters, Jane Menard and her husband Lester of Lafayette and Sandra Dahl and her husband Erick of Lafayette; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren, as well as one on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Sonia Bernard Guidry; his daughter Shirley Guilbeau; and three grandchildren, Lester Menard Jr., Pamela Menard and Ryan Menard. Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Thomas Dahl, Erick Dahl, Don Girouard, Renee Hayes, Larry Girouard and Billy Stanley. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lester Menard, Ned Girouard and Lawless Guilbeau.
