The Life of Lawrence James LeBlanc

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Lawrence "Larry" LeBlanc, age 76, who passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 2:45 p.m. at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette. Mr. LeBlanc was a native of Rayne and a resident of Scott for most of his life. He retired as owner and operator of his own tractor service. He was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro, where he was a member of the Bonne Mort Society and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. LeBlanc was a veteran of the military, having served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife of fifty five years, Pauline Toler LeBlanc of Scott; one son, Jeffrey Wayne LeBlanc and his wife, Sheila, of Lafayette; one grandchild, Sarah Jean LeBlanc; one great grandchildren, Rylie Claire Leblanc; and one sister, Clara Belle Truxillo of Independence, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ignace LeBlanc and the former Lelia Guidry both natives of Rayne; and an infant son, Kenneth James LeBlanc. A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12:00 p.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.
