The Life of Julia Broussard
Funeral services will be held at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church for Julia Hebert Broussard, 81, who passed away on May 19, 2010 at 9:06 am at Camelot of Broussard.
Reverend Louie Richard and Reverend Keith Landry of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church will be the Celebrants of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Ms. Broussard, a native of Maurice and a long time resident of the Broussard community, was the daughter of the late Leonce Hebert and Marie Duthile, both of Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. She was active in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Ladies Altar Society, and a past member of St. Anne Altar Society in Carencro.
Survivors include her son, Walter Broussard Jr. and wife, Justice of the Peace Barbara Broussard of Broussard; her daughters, Patricia Roberts of Breaux Bridge, and Rose Romero and husband Patrick of Lafayette; Grandchildren William Troy Broussard and wife Kathy of Lydia, Monique Champagne and husband Bryan of Broussard, B.J. Broussard of Denver, Colorado, Corey Roberts of Lafayette, Lelania Ridgley and husband Lee of Clearwater, Florida; Great grandchildren Lauren and Lane Champagne, Kiersten Broussard and Desiree Ridgley; Great great grandchild, Destiny Ridgley; sisters Anna Touchet, Laura Wells, Wilda Pepper and Mary Constantine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three Brothers Henry, Roy and Ellis Hebert and one sister Lucy Veazey.
Pallbearers will be Walter Broussard, Jr., William Troy Broussard, B.J. Broussard, Corey Roberts, Bryan Champagne and John Douglas Touchet. Readings will be done by her daughter in law, Barbara Broussard. Gift bearers will be Monique Champagne and Lelania Ridgley.
Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm and will resume on Friday from 8:00 am until the time of services. A rosary will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 pm.
