The Life of Marie Louise Bellot

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, June 14, 2008 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Marie Louise Bellot, 89, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mrs. Bellot was born December 18, 1918. She was a native of Broussard and resided in Lafayette, She worked for Dairy Queen on Moss Street for over 22 years. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, sister and grandmother. She enjoyed her family and her beautiful garden. She will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her. Survivors include her four sons, James Bellot and his wife Sylvia of Daphne, AL, Glenn Bellot and his wife Evelyn of Houston, TX, Homer Bellot and his life partner Andre Arceneaux of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Michele Lawson, Katie Guerra and husband, Eloy, Stacy Peterson and husband, Ryan all of Houston, TX, Chris Bellot and wife Maria, Beau Bellot all of Alabama, Todd Bellot and wife Merle, Aimee Paul and husband Kalan all of Oklahoma; five great grandchildren, Ashlee and Mikayla Lawson, Calista Escue, Christian and Haley Peterson all of Houston, TX; her brother, Luke Tribe and wife Bell of Lafayette, and sister-in-law, Buel Tribe of Broussard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Homer Bellot and daughter, Jo Ann Bellot, an infant daughter, Marie Louise; brothers, Daniel Tribe, Francis Tribe, Bonnie Tribe and Henry Tribe and sisters, Adele Marie Tribe Landry, and Lucille Marshall. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and continue Saturday from 9:00 AM to time of services. Pallbearers will include Andre Arceneaux, Eloy Guerra, Todd Bellot, Sam Canova, Chad Canova, and Nelson Gonzales. Honorary pallbearer will be Luke Tribe. The family would like to thank Journey Hospice of Lafayette to include special recognition to Racquel Landry for her excellent care of our beloved mother. A special thank you to First Name Basis for the outstanding care they provided. Special thanks to Andrea and Andrew for the support and love they have provided to the family.
