The Life of Audrey Bonnet
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 13, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Audrey Bonnet, 84, who passed away on November 11, 2011 at 9:50 am at her residence.
Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Church, will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery.
Mrs. Bonnet, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Herman Rebstock and the former Edith Lyall. She was a teacher in LaFourche Parish, Our Lady of Fatima, and Lafayette Parish school system. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Holy Cross Catholic Church and volunteered in many areas for many years. Audrey was also a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed the company of dear friends around the card table. She was devoted to her husband, children, grandsons and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise Bonnet Chargois of Lafayette, LA, and Laura Bonnet Demille and husband Russ of Lafayette, LA; one son, Jim Bonnet of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren, Chris Domangue of Mobile, AL, Michael Hebert of Lafayette, LA, Robert Shaw of Lafayette, LA and Alex Shaw of Lafayette, LA; one great grandchild, Xander Hebert; and one great grandchild on the way, Lucas Domangue.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Otis Bonnet, Sr., and two brothers, John Rebstock and Jackson "Beau" Rebstock.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Saturday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Sunday from 12:00 pm until the time of service. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home Saturday evening at 6:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Memorial contributions can be made in the name of Mrs. Bonnet to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Ste 200, Lafayette, LA, 70503.
