The Life of Victor Joseph Bouillion
Funeral services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Victor Joseph Bouillion, 86, who passed away on November 14, 2010 at 4:12 am at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Reverend Corey Campeaux, Associate Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Bouillion, a resident of Broussard, LA, was the son of the late Edward Bouillion of Acadia Parish, Louisiana and the former Celeman Alleman of Acadia Parish, Louisiana. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Bouillion was a bus driver for the Lafayette Parish School System for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Theresa Martin Bouillion of Lafayette; one daughter, Ramona B. Koerner and husband Michael of Lafayette; two sons, Malcolm Bouillion and wife Donna of Youngsville, and Calvin Bouillion of Broussard; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Eunice Mouton of Lafayette, and Addie Melancon of Lafayette and one brother, Davis Bouillion of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sadie Prejean and three brothers, Houston Bouillion, Odey Bouillion, and Belton Bouillion.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 am until service time. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Koerner, Hunter Bouillion, Marty Bouillion, Jeff Bouillion, Kenny Boyles, and Mark Melancon.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Bouillion's name to The Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL, 60601.
