The Life of Wally Louvierre
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Mrs. Wally Louvierre, age 79, the former Wally Hofmann, who died Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 12:20 AM in the Southwind Nursing Home in Crowley. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Gilbert J. Dutel, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the Funeral Services. Sharee Hunter, organist, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace", "The Old Rugged Cross", "On Eagles'' Wings" and "How Great Thou Art". Survivors include three nieces, Brenda Harris of Youngsville, Cathy Abshire and her husband, Channing of Egan and Karin Jovic of Germany; two nephews, Kenneth Nolan of Morse and Edward Nolan, Jr. of Beaumont, Texas ; three great nieces and two great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Louviere; her parents, Reinhold and Loni Hofmann; two brothers, Willie and Woody Hofmann. A native of Germany and a resident of Lafayette for fifty three years, Mrs. Louvierre was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Community. She was also a member of the Rose House of Lafayette and Member of the German Club. Mrs. Louvierre''s passion in life was spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed going out to eat and going to the Casinos. A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday at 6:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Scott. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM and Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services. Pallbearers are Kenneth Nolan, Edward Nolan, Jr., Channing Abshire, Danny Airhart, Harold Airhart and Jack Airhart.
