The Life of Byron Karl Lemmon
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 2, 2010 at The Family Church for Byron Karl Lemmon, 58, who passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 at 10:54 PM.
Reverend Jay Miller, Pastor of The Family Church, and Reverend Jay Coleman, of Journey Church of Baton Rouge will conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Protestant Cemetery.
Mr. Lemmon, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the son of the late Edmond Thomas Lemmon of Patterson, Louisiana and the former Betty Elberson of New Orleans, Louisiana. Karl was the owner/operator of Acadiana Marine Transmission Inc. for the past 14 years. He was a graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Karl was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle rider. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Levert Lemmon of Lafayette; one daughter, Allison Janise and husband Clayton of Lafayette; one son, Brian Lemmon of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Payton and Gaege Janise; his mother, Betty Elberson Lemmon of Lafayette; one sister, Karen Fogleman of Lafayette; one brother, Louis Lemmon of Tickfaw, LA.
He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Linda LeBlanc.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at The Family Church, 223 Stone Ave., Lafayette, Louisiana 70507, (337) 234-0214 on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue at church on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
Pallbearers will be John McDaniels, Aaron Broussard, Clayton Janise, Dwayne Williams, Louis Lemmon, and John Fogleman.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
