The Life of Paul James Comeaux

Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 26, 2010 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Paul James Comeaux, 77, who passed away on March 22, 2010 at 9:24 am at Lafayette General Medical Center. Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen, Pastor of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Mr. Comeaux, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the son of the late Joseph Alexis Comeaux of Carencro, Louisiana and the former Paolita Guidry of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Paul was a veteran of the US Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict and retired with the Department of Defense at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, CA, with 32 years of service as a Chief Fire Inspector. He is survived by four daughters, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one sister, Adele C. Connolly; one brother, J. Charles Comeaux; his companion of 18 years, Ella Mae Alleman and her three children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 35 years, Rose Marie Comeaux, and one brother, Odel A. Comeaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm and will resume at 8:00 am on Friday until the time of service.
