The Life of Susan Ann Touchet

A Mass of Christian Burial for Susan Suire Touchet, 42, will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 11:00AM at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville. Reverend Jason Mouton, Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville will be Celebrant of the Mass and will officiate the funeral service. Vocal selections for the mass will be Good Bye for Now, Amazing Grace, Ave Maria, Be Not Afraid and On Eagles Wings and at the cemetery will be Wind Beneath My Wings. All will be performed by Jody Bollich. Readers will be Barbara Blanchard and Amanda Duplantis; Giftbearers will be Shirley LeBreton and Catherine Hue. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of ERATH,(337)937-0405, 209 E. Putnam Street, Erath, LA 70533 on Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 12:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at the funeral home at 6:30 PM and will resume again, Monday, September 27, 2010 at 8:00Am until 10:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:30PM at the funeral home. Visitation prior to the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00AM Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville until time of service at 11:00AM. Entombment will follow services in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Susan Ann Touchet was a native and resident of Erath. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, sister, aunt, cousin, neice and godmother. She received her GED and went on to Remington College where she earned her Associate’s Degree in the Medical Assistant program, graduating with honors. She then worked for Physical Therapy Advantage as office personell followed by LaBorde Physical Therapy as office personell and Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia. She overcame many obstacles in her life and never quit striving for excellence. Susan was a strong- willed and well motivated woman. She woke up every morning with a smile on her face, ready to take on the days challenges with her headstrong personality. In the eyes of her friends, family and co-workers she was a sincere, loving, respectable and an all around genuine woman. Most remember her for her jokes, laughter, outgoing personality and her determination to help anyone out that may be in need. She was loved by all who knew and loved her and will be deeply missed by many. She is survived by her daughters, Leigha Michelle Clayton of Erath and Francesca Nichol Touchet also of Erath; mother, Verna Marie Taylor of Pierre Part; brother, Thomas Suire and his wife Janie of Erath; brother-in-law Anthony Touchet and his wife Karen of Youngsville and Frank Touchet and his wife Carmen of Indian Bayou; sister-in-law Annette Eschete and her husband Louis of Youngsville; mother-in-law Etta Rita Touchet also of Youngsville; 7 nieces and 6 nephews. Mrs. Touchet was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas James Touchet; son, Nicholas James Clayton; father Eugene Thomas Suire; step-father Lucius Edward Taylor and her father-in-law Frank Touchet. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Dondero, Anthony Touchet, Logan LeBlanc, Rajua Gharazedbine, Frank Touchet, Tommy Suire, Chad LeBlanc and Jude Dore’. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Touchet, Adam Touchet, Luke LeBlanc, Randy Menard and Caesar Touchet, III. David Funeral Home of Erath, (337) 937-0405, 209 E.
