The Life of Kenneth Earl Hicks Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 27, 2009 in the Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott for Kenneth "Buddy" Earl James Hicks, Jr., 29, who passed away on September 24, 2009 at his residence.
David Forrest will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Buddy, a resident of Duson, was the son of Kenneth Earl Hicks, Sr. of Lafayette, LA and the former Sandra Gypin of Alexandria, LA.
He is survived by his father, Ken Hicks, Sr. and wife Sherlene of Liberty,TX; mother, Sandra Rushing and husband Robert of Duson, LA; sisters, Kimberly Denais and husband Damian,Greda Leger and husband Kurt, Sheree Spurlock and husband Dustin, and JoAnna Williamson; eight nephews, five nieces and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and his beloved dog, Pig.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Earl and Jerry Hicks; maternal grandparents, Willard and Elsie Mae Gypin; one aunt Pennye Falcon and one uncle Thomas Broussard.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and will resume at 8:00 am Sunday until time of service at Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott.
Pallbearers will be Damian Denais, Skyler Willis, Jeremy Thibodeaux, Cody Gypin, Gary Willis, and Buddy Broussard.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 705 Marie Street, Scott, LA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
