The Life of Leon Malcolm Faulk

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at a 10:30 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Leon M. Faulk, 87, who passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, will officiate the services.Mr. Faulk is survived by three children, a son, Kenneth Joseph Faulk; two daughters, Janell Marie Faulk and Karin Ann Faulk D''Aunoy; and four grandchildren, Hayley Elizabeth Huval, Krystal Mishele Faulk, Heidi Christina Davis and Chloe Marie D''Aunoy.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita Marie Becker Faulk; his parents, George Bennette Faulk, Sr. and Antoinette Broussard Faulk; two sisters, Rosa Mae Faulk and Mabel Broussard; and four brothers, Ernest Lloyd Faulk, Clyde Faulk, U.N. Faulk and George Bennet Faulk, Jr. Mr. Faulk was a native of Indian Bayou, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette most of his life. During his youth he was a member of the boxing team at Southwestern Louisiana Institute (now U.L.L.) and in the military. Upon returning to covilian life he pursued a career as a mail and postal clerk with the U.S. Postal Services. He retired from his position in 1987 after having served twenty-six years in that capacity. During his retirement he was an avid sports fan of the Houston Astros and LSU Tigers. Mr. Faulk was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services at Martin & Castille''s Downtown Location.
