The Life of Jewel Aycock
Graveside services were held at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Lafayette Memorial Park, for Jewel Mangum Aycock, 97, who passed away July 19, 2006 at her granddaughter''''s residence in Lafayette.
Mrs. Aycock, a native of Bay City, Texas, was the daughter of the late Robert Mangum and the former Demis Lee.
Survivors include one son-in-law, Ed Bacon of Baton Rouge, La; one daughter-in-law, Pat Callaway of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren, Dianne Tolson, Cynthia Walker, Gary Carvell, Bill Bacon, Cheri Bacon, Brenda Corn, Larry Callaway and Trish Strong; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sidney E. Aycock; one daughter, Nell Bacon and one son, Sonny Callaway.
