The Life of Helen May Mohar

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 3, 2010 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Helen Mohar, 78, who passed away on June 30, 2010 at Louisiana Extended Care.

Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services.

Entombment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Mohar, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Nathan Earl Perry Sr. of Port Arthur, Texas and the former Alta Fruge of Jennings, Louisiana. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She was a Registered Nurse at UMC , formerly Charity Hospital, for over 30 years. She was a member of the UMC Retired Friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Laura Beaugh and husband Rick of Lafayette and Linda Burnett and husband Tom of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren, Chad Beaugh and wife Shawn, Jeremy Guidry and wife Stacy, Jonathon Guidry, William Burnett and Nathan Burnett; eight great grandchildren; three nephews, Nathan Perry III, Mark Perry and Blaine Perry and one great nephew, Robert Miguez and wife Ruth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marl Mohar; her brother, Nathan Perry Jr. and two great aunts, Oma Cunningham and Ruby Miguez.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Friday evening. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until the time of services.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Guidry, Jonathon Guidry, Chad Beaugh, Stephen Guidry, Mark Boulanger and Brandon Williams.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lafayette General''s LTAC staff, Dr. Dwayne Brown and Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care of Opelousas for their excellent care and compassion.
