The Life of Ruby L Musson

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, November 12th, 2010, at Martin & Castille''s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Ruby L. Musson, age 83, the former Ruby Hudgin, who passed away peacefully on the morning of November 10th, 2010 in Lafayette.

Reverend Annie Bates, with St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Lafayette, will conduct the Memorial Services.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Forrest D. Musson of Lafayette; two sons, David D. Musson, Sr. of Lafayette, Louisiana and Larry D. Musson, of Daphne, Alabama; one daughter, Terry L. Musson of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Melissa Musson and David Musson, Jr. of Lafayette, Andrew D. Musson and Aimee Musson of Daphne, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leander Hudgin and the former, Mattie Seavers and two sisters, Shirley and Marybelle, of Arkansas City, Kansas.

Mrs. Musson was born on December 6, 1926 in Arkansas City, Kansas and was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for five years. She was a faithful member of the Episcopal Church. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Musson was employed with the United States Government and also spent years teaching school. She was a loving and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Musson, Sr., Terry L. Musson and Larry D. Musson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David Musson, Jr., Melissa Musson, Andrew Musson and Aimee Musson.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location at 600 E. Farrel Road from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, until time of service, which will commence at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 12th, 2010.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Ruby L. Musson, may be made to the Lafayette Animal Aid (LAA), P.O. Box 298, Carencro, Louisiana 70592.
