The Life of Mildred Broussard

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Mildred H. Broussard, 92, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at her residence in Carencro.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Henry J. Broussard, Pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Broussard Dupuy and her husband, Homer; three sons, George Michael Broussard and his wife, Sheila, Tommy Broussard and Timothy Broussard and his wife, Dianna; one sister, Nell Pierce; two brothers, Bob Hebert and Curtis Hebert; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Alie Broussard; her parents, Thomas Xavier Hebert and Azalie Valerie Breaux Hebert; one sister, Ethel Hebert Dennis; and three brothers, Owen, Roy and Mervin Hebert.

A native of LaFourche Crossing, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Mrs. Broussard was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers will be Kristopher Broussard, Jason Broussard, Ryan Broussard, David Dupuy, Corey Broussard and Jeremy Broussard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Hebert, Bob Hebert, Curtis Hebert, George Michael Broussard, Tommy Broussard and Timothy Broussard.

A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at 6:00 PM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of services.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Jonathan Joseph, Dr. Jennifer Malin, Dr. Mitchel Dugas, Med Source Home Health, nurses Julie Olivier, her aide, sitter and friend, Louanna Dugas, Heart of Hospice, nurses Theristen Chretien and Colette Lipari, her aide, sitter and friend, Shiela Andrus and especially our special angels, Janet and Alicia Monceaux for their kindness, comfort and gentle care given to Mrs. Broussard and her family during their time of need.
