The Life of Laura Mae Begnaud
Funeral Services for Mrs. Rudy Begnaud, the former Laura Mae Girard, 63, will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, May 6, 2011 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM and will resume on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 8:00AM until service time. Interment will take place at Lafayette Memorial Park.
A native of Lafayette and resident of Broussard, Mrs. Begnaud passed away at 4:53PM on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at a local hospital. She was the kindest and most thoughtful person one could ever hope to know and would do anything for anyone. Her family meant everything to her and she dearly loved them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Rudy Begnaud of Broussard; her son, Troy Hebert and his wife Tammy of Lafayette; her step-sons, Toby J. Begnaud and his wife Colleen of Paris, France and Timothy J. Begnaud and his wife Tracie of Lafayette; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her brother, Russell Girard and his wife Myrna of Scott; her sister, Joyce Breckenridge and her husband Randall of Lafayette; and two step-sisters, Rita Romero Eure and Hazel Jolie Guidry, both of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Angela Duhon Girard; and her step-mother, Julia Dalfrey Girard.
Serving as pallbearers will be Timmy Begnaud, Randy Breckenridge, Robert Domingue, Brandon Billeaud, Steven Snelling and Melvin Begnaud.
