The Life of Yvonne Marie Major
Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 6, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Yvonne Marie Major, 57, who passed away on May 3, 2011 at her residence.
Reverend Steve Leblanc, Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Major, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Louis Arcade Major, Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana and the former Ninette Mouton of Lafayette, Louisiana. She was a member of St. Mary Church.
She is survived by her three children, Angela Alesi Robicheaux and husband Ben, Avery Thomas Alesi and Brandy Alyce Vincent; her mother, Ninette Major Romeo all of Lafayette; one sister, Yvette Major Neal and husband Ron of Saratoga, WY; two brothers, Mark and Scott Major of Lafayette, LA.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Arcade Major, Jr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday at 8:00 AM until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Karl Bengtson, Scott Major, Mark Major, Ron Neal, Lane Neal and Scotty Major.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
