The Life of James T Latiolais

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at 9:30 AM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for James T. Latiolais, 61, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen, Celebrant and Rector of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette, along with Reverend Joseph F. Brennan, Concelebrant, will conduct the funeral services. Lector will be Tim Latiolais. Eulogist will be Judye Latiolais Wahlberg.Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Cathy R. Latiolais; one daughter, Dr. Jamie Latiolais Taylor of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, Linda L. Argue and her husband John of Houston, TX and Judye L. Wahlberg and her husband Stephen of Denver, CO; one brother, George E. Latiolais and his wife Martha of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Virgie Mae Guidry Latiolais.A resident of Breaux Bridge, James Latiolais was employed with Fugro Chance for thirty-nine years as an offshore manager. He was a fan of NASCAR racing, enjoyed fishing, boating and playing his guitar. James Latiolais was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all and will be greatly missed.Pallbearers will be Stephen Wahlberg, Tim Latiolais, Stephen Robichaux, Billy Robichaux, Bill Lodge and Louis Hoffpauir.A Rosary will be prayed Friday, September 19, 2008 at 6:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
