The Life of Eugene Leblanc Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 4, 2006 at a 10:00 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Eugene "Geno" LeBlanc, Sr., 82, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at his residence in Carencro.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park CemeterySurvivors include his beloved wife, Patricia Ayer LeBlanc of Carencro; two daughters, Linda LeBlanc and her husband, Malcolm of Tampa, Florida, and Judy Delgado and her husband, Hugo of Houston, Texas; three sons, Eugene Leblanc, Jr. and his wife, Heddie of Lafayette, Thomas LeBlanc and his wife, Mary of Pensacola, Florida, and David LeBlanc and his wife, Annette of Lafayette; thirteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas LeBlanc and Lela Daly Leblanc; one sister, Lucille Hoffman; and two brothers, Sidney LeBlanc and Whitney LeBlanc.A native of Ebenezer, Louisiana and resident of Carencro for most of his life, Mr. LeBlanc was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He proudly served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Navy in which he served on the U.S.S New Mexico. Mr. LeBlanc was employed as a service technician in the oilfield for many years until his retirement. He was also an avid bowler. Mr LeBlanc loved spending time with his family, and will be dearly missed not only by family and friends, but by all of those whose lives he has touched throughout the years.Pallbearers will be Eugene LeBlanc, Jr., Thomas LeBlanc, David LeBlanc, Michael Vance LeBlanc, Damon Paul LeBlanc, Daniel Hugo Delgado, David Ryan LeBlanc, and Malcolm LeBlanc.The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of services.Donations may be made in Mr. LeBlanc''s memory to the American Heart Association 312 Guilbeau Road Suite 6C Lafayette, Louisiana 70506 Martin & Castille Funeral Home, Inc. of Lafayette has been chosen to help with the arrangements. 337-234-2311
