The Life of Genevieve Romero
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2006 at 2:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Genevieve "Jenny" Seneca Romero, 75, who died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette, Louisiana.Reverend John DeLeeuw will officiate the funeral services. Jodi Bollich will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace", "On Eagles'' Wings", "Ave Maria", and "Be Not Afraid"Survivors include one daughter, Karen Romero of Lafayette; one son Glynn Romero of Washington, D.C.; and one grandchild, Sean Swihart of Lafayette.She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Romero; her parents, Jesse Seneca and Mary Crowson Seneca; her brothers Regis Seneca, Harvey Seneca, and J.P. Seneca; and one sister, Leola Richard.A native of New Iberia, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Mrs. Romero was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.Pallbearers will be Ernie Richard, Sean Swihart, Cory Seneca, Justin James, Cal Seneca, and Ryan Seneca.A Rosary will be prayed on Thursday, February 9, 2006 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
