The Life of Lilly Mae Huval

Funeral services will be held at a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, November 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Genevieve Catholic Church for Lilly Mae Huval, 86, who passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Bethany MHS Health Care Center. Rev. Jody J. Simoneaux, Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and conduct the funeral services. A reading will be recited by Sandra Guidry. Musical selections will be performed by Tommy and Jimmie Benoit. Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mrs. Huval, a native of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Valrie Boudreaux and the former Olympe Saunnier both of Delcambre, LA. She and her late husband stared their family business in 1953: Huval Body Shop, which was taken over by their son, Neal. Her life revolved around the family business and foremost her late husband, Clarence. Survivors include one son, Neal J. Huval and his wife, Jackie; one granddaughter, Debbie H. Laviolette and her husband, Karl; one great granddaughter, Megan Laviolette; one brother, Alvin Boudreaux; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence J. Huval; two sisters, Rose Benoit, and Weda Roberts; and two brothers, Gussie and Perry Boudreaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and continue Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited Wednesday evening in the funeral home. Pallbearers will include Allen Roberts, Gene Benoit, Karl Laviolette, Wayne Peschier, Garland Romero, Roland Simon, Len Boudreaux, Stanley Babin and Kenny Hebert. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nuns and staff of Bethany Health Care for their care and compassion. Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
