View Memorial Tribute Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 11:30 AM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Janet L.
Smith, 50, who passed away, Monday, November 5, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Monsignor Harry Benefiel will conduct the Funeral Services. Giftbearers will be Jordan LaSalle and Tiffany Lasseigne. Musical Selections will be "Amazing Grace", "Isaiah 49" (I Will Never Forget You), "On Eagles' Wings" and "The Wind Beneath My Wings".
Survivors include one daughter, Tiffany LaSalle Lasseigne and her husband, Brian of Lafayette; her mother, Iona Richard Smith; one brother, Alton P. Smith and his wife, Debbie; two sisters, Sheila S. Forgason and Tanya S. Boudreaux and her husband, Michael all of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Jordan LaSalle and Kassadi Lasseigne and a baby due this summer.She was preceded in death by her father, Dudley J. Smith; several aunts and uncles and a long time friend, Patrick Gallagher.
Ms. Smith was born on January 6, 1957 and was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette. She loved spending time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren. Ms. Smith also enjoyed going to the casino with her sister-in-law, Debbie and her mother, Mrs. P.
A Rosary will be prayed by Brother Francis Fontenot, BCC on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 7:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
