The Life of Marie Ware
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2009 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Marie Barker Ware, 94, who passed away peacefully on November 5, 2009 at 11:37PM at Bethany Health Care Center.
Deacon Cody Miller will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Ware, was the daughter of the late Richard Barker, Sr. and the former Marie Blanchard Barker of Lockport, LA.
She is survived by her sons, Alfred A. "Bucky" Ware, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Lafayette, John William "Billy" Ware of Lafayette; daughter, Mary W. Sapp and her husband, Richard of Gig Harbor, WA; grandchildren, Andy Ware of Lafayette and Coreen Schmidt and her husband David of Gig Harbor, WA. Sister, Mary Frances Schneider of Mooresville, NC; brothers, Donald Barker and his wife Rivers of Lockport and Robert Barker also of Lockport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred A. Ware, Sr., sister, Sally Licalzi and brother, Richard Barker, Sr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm and will resume Monday at 9:00 am until service time at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette.
Memorial contributions can be made in the name of Marie B. Ware to the Alzheimer''s Association, 107 Global Circle, Suite 203 Lafayette, LA 70503.
The family is especially thankful for the loving care provided by the staff of Bethany Health Care Center, the Sisters of the Most Holy Sacrament, Dr. Kemp Coreil and Dr. Glen Mire.
