The Life of Lucille Theresa Womack

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Lucille C. Womack, 92, who passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2009 at Maison de Lafayette in Lafayette.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen, Rector of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.   Giftbearers will be Tiffany Staples, Aryn Mann and Emily Mann.  Lectors will be Todd Mann and Randall Mann.  Karen Broussard, organist, will sing “On Eagles’ Wings”, “My Shepherd is the Lord”, “Ave Maria”, “Taste and See” and “Be Not Afraid” for the services. Survivors include her two daughters, Carol Mann Marcotte and her husband Simeon of Lafayette and Karen Womack Stein of Monroe, GA;  six grandchildren, Tiffany Staples, Bradley Stein, Kirk Windstein, Todd Mann, Randy Mann and Tracey Windstein;  five great grandchildren, Haleigh Windstein, M. Tyler Mann, R. James Mann, Aryn Mann and Emily Mann;  one sister, Geraldine Labbe.She was preceded in death by her husband, Cark Adnell Womack;  parents, Robert Lee and Rose Vinet Cochrane;  two son-in-laws, Russell H. Mann and Bruce Stein;  one grandchild, Blake Stein;  one daughter, Myrna Windstein;  two sisters, Pearl Begnaud and Cora Lee Doucet;  and two brothers, Douglas Cochrane, Sr. and Robert Cochrane.A lifelong resident of Lafayette, Lucille Womack was a member of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette and the Court Immaculata Catholic Daughters.  She was employed by Hancock Fabrics for twenty years and was an outstanding homemaker.  Lucille Womack was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be dearly missed by family, friends and all who knew her.Pallbearers will be Randall Mann, Todd Mann, James Mann, Tyler Mann, Kirk Windstein and Bradley Stein.Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Staples, Earl Womack, Douglas Cochrane, Jr. and Jim Womack. A Rosary will be prayed Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 12:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
