The Life of Hazel Pellerin

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Hazel Boudreaux Pellerin, 77, will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Saint Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville officiated by Father Edward Duhon. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home located at 316 Youngsville Highway on Wednesday, October 26th,2011 from 3:00PM until 9:00 pm with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday, from 8:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery located on Pinhook Road. Mrs. Pellerin a native and lifelong resident of Youngsville passed away in her home at 1:55 am on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the age of 77. She graduated from Youngsville High School and received an Associates’ Degree from Southwestern Louisiana Institute (presently University of Louisiana at Lafayette). A retiree from Ford Motor Credit Company after 30 years of service, she was a member of Saint Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville. The majority of her life was dedicated to family and friends, and she will always be remembered for her strength, courage, and her compassionate nature. She cherished times spent with her family, particularly with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. A devoted wife, loving mother, and wonderful grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 57 years, Wilson Pellerin; three daughters, Yvonne Pellerin Tripp and husband Allen Tripp, Marilyn Pellerin Lunetta, and Carolyn Pellerin Cavaliere; three grandchildren, Christopher Tripp and wife Lindsey Duhon Tripp, Andrea Tripp, and Lexi Cavaliere; one step-grandchild, Kathy Tripp Cunningham; a great-granddaughter, Adyson Meaux; and a step-great-granddaughter, Sierra Dalrymple; two sisters, Bernice Boudreaux Gerard and Leline Boudreaux Gerard; one brother Roy Boudreaux and wife Jeanette Boudreaux; two sisters-in-law Eula Pellerin Bodoin and Hazel Pellerin Guidry; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ozite Boudreaux; a brother, Earl Boudreaux; two brothers-in-law, Willis Gerard and Norris Gerard; and a son-in-law, Lenny J. Cavaliere. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Christopher Tripp, Allen Tripp, Jimmy Pellerin, Troy Boudreaux, Gary Dodson, and Kevin Guidry with Shaun Dodson serving as Honorary Pallbearer. The family wishes to express thankful gratitude to Louella Meaux, Vivian Rougeaux, and Marilyn Broussard, who took excellent care of her over the years. Additionally, the family wishes to extend their deepest thanks and appreciation to Marlene Frederick for the loving home care that she provided during these last 2 years of illness. The family also wishes to express sincerest appreciation to Hospice of Acadiana for the special attention shown to her during these last months of palliative cares.
