The Life of Blaine T Duhon
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette, for Blaine T. Duhon, 35, who passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2010 at home in Lafayette.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Reverend Louis Richard, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Bridget Quebedeaux and Sarah Hyde and Blaine''s parents will be the giftbearers. The Eulogist will be Brett Broussard. Cindy Habetz, soloist, accompanied by Tom Niel, organist, will sing "Amazing Grace", "Psalm 23", "Ave Maria", "On Eagles'' Wings" and "Be Not Afraid" for the services. Blaine is survived by his parents, Thomas E. and Clarecia Carlton Duhon of Lafayette and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Carlton of Van Alstyne, Texas. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Al and Ethel Duhon and his maternal grandfather, Bill Carlton. Blaine Duhon was a lifelong resident of Lafayette. He graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic High School in 1992, graduated from LSU with a Degree in General Studies in 1999 and was an independent Landman in the Oil and Gas Industry. Blaine''s strength and courage was an inspiration to many. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Pallbearers will be Mike Poole, Darren Strother, Danny Lasseigne, Jamie Holmes, Greg Sonnier, Brandon Hyde, Troy Cloutier, Steve Habetz, Brett Broussard, Charlie Justus, Jamie Howard, Brad Poole, Peyton Reddick, Brian Leonard, Scott Domingue and Danny McCoy. Visitation was observed in Martin & Castille''s Southside Lafayette location on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will continue today, Wednesday, from 9:00 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
