The Life of Gabriel Perrio Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at a 2:00 PM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Gabriel Perrio, Jr., 77, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2009, surrounded by his family, at his residence in Breaux Bridge.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Deacon Michael Clark will officiate the services. Lectors will be Gerald Miller and Jamie Foreman. Karen Broussard, organist and soloist, will sing for the services, “Wind Beneath My Wings”, “ Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “Amazing Grace”.Survivors include his beloved wife, Hazel Duhon Perrio of Lafayette; two sons, Scott Perrio and his wife, Carol and Craig Perrio and his wife, Roxane, all of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Jared Perrio, Trey Perrio and Morgan Perrio; and one sister, Ruby Louviere and her husband, Gerald of Lafayette; He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Belzire Comeaux Perrio, Sr.; two sisters, Irene Perrio Broussard and Rosa Mae Perrio Pearce; and one brother, Eric Perrio.A native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Mr. Perrio was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Mr. Perrio was a dedicated employee of LA Frey Company for over 15 years until his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his family and friends and was a member of the St. Elizabeth-Seton Catholic Church Community. Mr. Perrio will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.Pallbearers will be Jared Perrio, Trey Perrio, Grady Chiasson, Danny LeBlanc, Jr., Barry Louviere and Ralph Pearce. Honorary Pallbearers will be his nephews.A Rosary will be prayed on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.The family requests that visitation be observed on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and will continue on Sunday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
