The Life of Jean Edwin Broussard

Lafayette - Funeral services will be conducted for Jean Edwin Broussard, age 83, September 24, 2009 at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Louis Richard officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 8:00AM until services. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. A native and resident of Youngsville, Mr. Broussard died Monday, September 21, 2009 at his residence. He was a veteran of WWII. He proudly served in the United States Army in Company K 346th Infantry, the Acorn Division. He was awarded a purple heart for being wounded on the front lines in the Battle of the Buldge. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and Lions Club. A member of the 87th Infrantry Divison Organization. He is survived by his wife; Theresa Zaunbrecher Broussard, daughters; Stephanie Broussard of Lafayette, Claire Hebert and her husband Ernest of Broussard, Donna Nance and her husband Gary of Youngsville, Karen Rabalais and her husband Art of Broussard, and Geralyn Biediger and husband Trey of Victoria, TX, sons; Brian Broussard and his wife Donna of Youngsville and Kevin Broussard and his wife Rachelle of Crowley, grandchildren; Stacie Baudoin, US Navy AECS, Thomas Edwin Hebert and his wife Nicola, Jack Arceneaux and wife Renee Broussard, Kristi Biediger Gibson and her husband Mike, Brent Biediger, Blake Broussard, Shevon Broussard, Camille Broussard, Paige Broussard, Maria Broussard, Daniel Hebert, Michael Nance, Alexandra Rabalais, Matthew Broussard, Cullen Rabalais, Luke Broussard and Caleb Broussard, great grand children; Kameron, Cami, Gracie, Gabriel and Aubrey Jean, brother; Antoine “Roy” Broussard and his wife Agnes, sisters; Mildred Baudoin, Ethel Vincent, Evelyn Landry and her husband Wilmer, Bertha David, Deloria Guillot and Velma Broussard and her husband Calvin. He was preceded in death by his parent; Romain and Helena Boudreaux Broussard, and a sister; Thelma Domingue. The family will like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Lester Ducote and Dr. Frank Bacque Honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Brent Biediger, Blake Broussard, Jack Arceneaux, Michael Nance, Cullen Rabalais, Daniel Hebert, Tommy Hebert, Kaleb Broussard and Matthew Broussard.
