The Life of Jeannette Trahan

Funeral services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 22, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for Jeannette ''Sally'' Trahan, 74, who passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Reverend Michael J. Russo, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Interment will be held in Holy Mary, Mother of God Cemetery. Mrs. Trahan, a native of Judice and a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Eugene Simon of Judice and the former Alzina Guidry of Lafayette. She was a member of UMC Service Guild, and she volunteered at the UMC gift shop. She is survived by two daughters, Mary and Marla Trahan both of Lafayette; two sons, Michael Trahan and his wife, Jane of Lafayette, and David Trahan of Lafayette; one granddaughter, Katherine Trahan; and one sister, Effie Broussard of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Oran Trahan; one sister, Gladys LeBlanc, and one brother, Curley ''Jack'' Simon. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Thursday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Joel Simon, Steven Meaux, C.J. Woodley, R.J. Simon, Curley Simon, Jr., and Mark Bourque. Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Nunez. Memorial contributions may be sent in the name of Jeannette ''Sally'' Trahan to the UMC Service Guild, 2390 West Congress Street, Lafayette, Louisiana 70506, or to the charity of your choice. Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
