The Life of Gregory Martin Domingue

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at a 3:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for Gregory Martin Domingue, 53, who died on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen, Rector of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Giftbearers will be Deborah and John Thevenote. Lectors will be Lisa Boudreaux and Diane Legleu. Jodi Bollich, soloist, accompanied by Tom Niel, organist, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace", "On Eagles'''' Wings", "Ave Maria", "Be Not Afraid" and "Here I Am Lord".He is survived by three children and their families, Samuel Lucas Domingue and his wife, Shelley Thevenote Domingue, and their children, Gavin Paul and Gracie Ann of Lafayette; Lisa Domingue Perniciaro and her husband, Michael John, Jr., and their son Ethan Michael Shanahan of Mobile, Alabama; Nicole Anne Domingue Carranza and her husband, Luis Higinio III and their sons, Isaiah Luis and Micah Samuel, due March 11, of Lafayette; his sister, Diane D. Legleu and her husband, John and Family of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Ronald Domingue and his wife, Nanette and family of Lafayette and Mark Domingue and his wife, Marilyn and family of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen LeBlanc Domingue; and brother Richard James Domingue.Mr. Domingue, a native of Lafayette, was the son of the late Lucas Domingue, Jr. and the late Irene Hayes Domingue. He was born November 27, 1954 in Lafayette, attended Cathedral Elementary and High Schools, and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He was co-owner of Lucas 64 and VMSI. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He loved playing tennis and spending time with his family, whom he adored more than life. We will forever remember him for his loving, caring, big heart, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.Pallbearers will be Charles Boudreaux, Jr. John Legleu, Luke Domingue, Steven LeBlanc, Robert Boudreaux II and David Thevenote. Honorary pallbearers will be, Thomas Legleu, Jeffrey Angelle, Luis Carranza III, Michael Perniciaro and Charles J. Boudreaux III.A Rosary will be prayed on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of services.Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Domingue''''s name to St. Jude Children''''s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
