The Life of Juanita Marie Picard
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Juanita Marie Picard, 83, who passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Southwest Medical Center.
Deacon Reggie Bollich will officiate at the funeral services.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Juanita, the daughter of the late Willie Fletcher Rogers of Florien, LA and the former Mabel Ducharme of Lafayette, LA was a lifetime resident of Lafayette, LA.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy Picard of Lafayette, LA; two sons, Rocky Romero, and Rusty Romero and wife, Jude, both of Grand Coteau, LA; one step-son, Roy Lee Picard and wife, Elaine of Vatican, LA; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; one sister, Cora Mae Rogers of Lafayette, LA; and one brother, Clyde Rogers of Lafayette, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one step-son, Rene Picard.
The family requests visiting hours be observed on Monday from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and continue on Tuesday from 8:00 am until the time of services.
A rosary will be recited at by Bro. Frances Fontenot at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ross Romero, Michael Picard, Darrel Picard, Charlie Picard, Robert Picard, and Tim Cornwell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Gaddy, Damon Picard, Gary Duhon, and Andy Anderson.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette is in charge of funeral arrangements.
