Funeral services for Glenn J. Abshire, 35, will be held on Friday, May 19, 2006 at 2:00PM at David Funeral Chapel of Lafayette with Fr. Vu officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, May 18, 2006 from 6:00PM until 10:00PM, with a rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, May 19, 2006 from 9:00AM until the time of service, interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Glenn died Monday, May 15, 2006 in Lafayette, He was known for his love for children, electronics, and being a loving and compassionate person. He was an all around fix-it guy. He is survived by his mother, Betty and her husband Calvin Broussard of Youngsville; his fiancee’, Candace Landry of Lafayette; three step-children, Hope Landry, Paige Himel, and Joshua “Bubba” Himel, all of Lafayette; two brothers, Mark Abshire, and Matthew Thomasse of Lafayette; a sister, Wendy and her husband Scott Veron of Lafayette; Maternal Grandfather, Chester “Pee Wee” Broussard of Youngsville; two nephews, Tate and Tyler Abshire of Youngsville; and one niece, Taylor Abshire of Youngsville. He is preceded in death by his father, Hubert P. Abshire; a step-father, Ledoux Thomassee Pallbearers will be Ryan Broussard, Scott Veron, Mark Abshire, Jerry Abshire, Shane LeBlanc, Robert Hoke, Brannon Lasseigne, Matthew Thomassee Honorary Pallbearers will be Ruffin Lowry, Harvey Dubois, Ralph Provost, Chester “Pee Wee” Broussard, and Calvin Broussard. David Funeral Home of Lafayette will be handling arrangements
