The Life of Olive Ardoin
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, December 22, 2008 at St. Genevieve Church for Olive M. Ardoin, 88, who died peacefully early on December 19, 2008 at 2:15 am at River Oaks Retirment Manor.
Reverend Blair Sabaricos, Associate Pastor of St. Genevieve Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ardoin, a native of Basile and a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Severin Marcantel and the former Alzina Ardoin both of Basile. She was a member of St. Genevieve Catholic Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister. She was also a Catholic Daughter.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Ardoin Louvierre and her husband, Michael of Breaux Bridge, two sons, Verlin Ardoin and his wife, Janice of Baton Rouge and Kenneth Ardoin and his wife, Cicy of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leon Ardoin; and one sister, Eva Klumpp.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm and will continue on Monday at 8:00 am until time of service at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette. Pallbearers will be Chad Leger, Michael Louvierre,Verlin Ardoin and Kenneth Ardoin.
