The Life of Pauline M Fitch

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 24, 2007 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 400 Camellia Blvd, Lafayette, Louisiana for Pauline Moore Fitch who died March 1, 2007 in Richmond, Virginia after a short illness. The Reverend Morgan S. Allen of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will conduct the funeral services. The Rite of Committal will be at Lafayette Memorial Park. Mrs. Fitch was a sixty year resident of Lafayette, LA and retired with her husband to Kerrville, TX in 1996. She was married to Lenox A. Fitch, Sr. of Eagle Pass, TX on October 22, 1938 until his death in May of 2004. She attended the Episcopal Church of the Ascension and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, where she was a founding member. Mrs. Fitch was very active in many social, civic and religious organizations throughout her life. She was a Christian woman who was loved and respected. Survivors include three sons, Lenox Alexander Fitch, Jr., Houston, Texas, Paul Stroud Fitch, living on a boat currently in the NW Caribbean, and William Henderson Fitch living in a motor coach, currently in Lafayette, LA; eight grandchildren; and seven and a half great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be observed on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of services at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Pauline and her family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Salvation Army, P. O. Box 3504, Lafayette, LA 70502; St Barnabas Episcopal Church, 400 Camellia Blvd, Lafayette, LA 70503; or the Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry, 311 Eleventh St, Ambridge, PA 15003. Cards of condolences may be sent to the family in care of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
